I much prefer the other side of the lens, but as Darcy so eloquently said:

"It's not about you".

This photo was taken after my first official race.

The Bill Crews 5K Remission Run.

I ran in memory of my dad who passed away 13 years ago and in honor of my husband who is a 16 year cancer survivor.

The race is held yearly and 100% of the proceeds help fund cancer research at the M.D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

I started running last May so I am a definite newbie!
